I have personally enjoyed downloading freebies, especially textures and patterns. After watching Mary Kate McDevitt's Skillshare class on lettering (which included making textures), I decided to try my hand at it and scan in some images of a few watercolor swatches I made.
Until watching the class, I always assumed making textures was some complicated process that only experts were capable of creating. But after an hour of doodling and painting, I realized that sometimes the most random and fun pieces can turn into something interesting. All this required was an hour, some random art supplies, and a scanner. The collection I am offering is actually only 2 out of 11 sheets that I ended up scanning!
I am offering 11 free watercolor textures. All I ask is that you do not sell these images directly or offer them for download elsewhere. If you want to share these freebies, please only share the link. I am okay with anyone downloading these and adding their own designs. If you want to make a profit after you have created something on your own, go ahead!
You can download the compressed .zip file with 11 JPGs of watercolor textures below.
